Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate Automation QA Engineer with strong experience in test automation to design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Python and Playwright. The ideal candidate will have a product-oriented mindset, a deep understanding of testing best practices, and a strong focus on delivering high-quality, scalable software products.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Python and Playwright.
Build and enhance test automation frameworks from the ground up.
Write clear, maintainable, and scalable test scripts for web applications.
Identify, document, and track bugs to resolution.
Perform functional, regression, end-to-end, and cross-browser testing.
Collaborate with developers to improve testability and code quality.
Review test coverage and continuously improve test strategies.
Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders.
Qualifications
4-6 years of experience in test automation.
Strong proficiency in Python.
Hands-on experience with Playwright for browser automation.
Solid understanding of QA methodologies, testing types, and the SDLC.
Experience with test frameworks such as pytest.
Experience testing microservices architectures.
Experience with Docker and containerized environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and collaboration abilities.
Good to Have
Knowledge of API testing (REST, tools like Postman or requests library).
Experience with version control systems (Git).
Knowledge of BDD frameworks (e.g., Behave, pytest-bdd).
Experience with performance or load testing tools.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
