We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in test automation. The ideal candidate should be proficient in building and maintaining automation frameworks, with a primary focus on API testing and backend validation, along with some UI automation experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation test frameworks using Java

• Perform API testing (primary focus ~80%) and validate backend services

• Execute UI automation testing (~20%) using modern tools

• Build reliable, scalable, and maintainable test scripts

• Work closely with development teams to understand requirements and define test strategies

• Identify, log, and track defects with clear reporting and debugging details

• Ensure test coverage for functional, regression, and integration testing

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience in Java (test automation perspective)

• Expertise in Selenium WebDriver

• Strong experience in API testing (REST APIs)

• Good understanding of test automation frameworks and design principles

• Hands-on experience with Playwright (UI automation) is highly preferred

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in test environments

• Understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and Agile processes

Good to Have

• Experience with test frameworks like TestNG / JUnit

• CI/CD integration for automated testing pipelines

• Experience with tools like Postman

• Knowledge of performance or contract testing
