Position Overview
Senior Retail Planning Analyst Merchandise Planning, Assortment & Replenishment Department, Reports to Planning Manager with dotted line to Category Management
Key Responsibilities
Merchandise Planning:
Develop strategic merchandise plans aligned with financial targets and market trends and seasons
Manage open-to-buy (OTB) planning at merchandise category level using SAP Planning for Retail
Execute forecast-based requirements planning and monitor consumption patterns
Analyse sales performance, margin optimization, and GMROI across product categories
Coordinate planning process flow and define key performance indicators for future seasons
Assortment Planning:
Optimize product mix and assortment modules for specific store locations and distribution centres
Manage article-to-store assignments through listing processes and master data generation
Execute assortment versioning and adapt assignment periods across multiple planning versions
Coordinate follow-on article replacements and store-specific exclusions within assortment modules
Collaborate with category management on space allocation and presentation stock requirements
Replenishment Planning:
Execute automated replenishment planning using SAP Replenishment Planning.
Manage dynamic and static target stock determination with safety stock optimization
Monitor demand influencing factors (DIFs) including promotions, seasonality, and local events
Coordinate multi-echelon replenishment (MER) between stores and distribution centres
Generate and process purchase requisitions, stock transport orders, and purchase orders
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in SAP Retail modules (MM, SD, LE) and SAP Customer Activity Repository (CAR)
Experience with SAP Forecasting and Replenishment or SAP Replenishment Planning solutions
Knowledge of MRP procedures, reorder point planning, and time-phased planning
