The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the Healthcare & Life Sciences (HLS) business will define the technology vision, innovation strategy, and engineering roadmap across the healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and payer–provider ecosystem.
This leader will oversee product engineering, digital platforms, regulatory-compliant solutions, AI/ML-driven healthcare innovations, cloud-native architectures, and connected medical ecosystems. The CTO will work closely with global customers, internal engineering teams, and business leaders to drive technology excellence, market differentiation, and long-term growth.
Build and execute the technology strategy for Healthcare, Life Sciences, Medical Devices, and Payer–Provider domains.
Identify emerging technologies, digital trends, and regulatory shifts impacting the global HLS ecosystem.
Develop long-term R&D and innovation roadmaps aligned with industry evolution.
Lead engineering and architecture for medical devices, digital therapeutics, diagnostics, wearables, remote monitoring, and clinical systems.
Oversee development of cloud-native healthcare platforms, interoperability frameworks, and healthcare data ecosystems.
Guide technology choices across embedded systems, edge computing, cloud, cybersecurity, and AI/ML.
Drive large-scale digital programs for global healthcare clients, including:
Provider digitization
Telemedicine / virtual care
Patient engagement platforms
Healthcare mobility
Intelligent care & analytics
Enable end-to-end modernization of payer systems, claims, revenue cycle management, and healthcare workflow automation.
Lead data engineering, healthcare AI models, diagnostic algorithms, and predictive insights for clinical and operational excellence.
Ensure AI platforms meet regulatory and ethical standards including transparency, bias control, and safety.
Build capabilities in FHIR, HL7, DICOM, EHR/EMR integrations, and healthcare interoperability.
Ensure all technology solutions comply with healthcare standards including:
FDA, EU MDR, CE
ISO 13485, IEC 62304, ISO 14971
HIPAA, HITRUST, GDPR
Embed regulatory engineering in product lifecycle processes from design to validation and post-market surveillance.
Build strong collaborations with OEMs, healthcare ISVs, cloud providers, chipset vendors, and medical technology partners.
Foster joint innovation programs with academia, startups, and clinical institutions.
Strengthen open innovation, IP creation, and technology accelerators.
Lead a global team of architects, technologists, domain experts, and R&D engineers.
Serve as the technology spokesperson in customer meetings, advisory forums, industry events, and partner ecosystems.
Drive engineering excellence, process maturity, and capability building across organizations.
18–25+ years of experience in Healthcare, Life Sciences, Medical Devices, digital health, or enterprise healthcare platforms.
Proven leadership in senior technology roles such as CTO, VP Engineering, Chief Architect, or Global Head of Technology.
Experience working with global medical device manufacturers, healthcare providers, payers, pharma/biotech companies, or digital health firms.
