We’re looking for a seasoned Full-stack engineer who owns problems end to end — the kind of person who takes an ambiguous goal, figures out what actually needs to be built, and ships it.
You’ll work across our React front end and Python back end, shape technical decisions, and set the bar for quality on the team.
This is not a role where you’ll be handed tightly scoped tickets. You’ll be trusted to identify the right problems, weigh trade-offs, and drive solutions with minimal hand-holding. If you like autonomy and thrive when you have to work things out for yourself, you’ll fit right in.
You’ll join a small, high-autonomy team and work closely with the CEO — shaping product and technical direction together, with a direct line to how decisions get made and short feedback loops from idea to impact.
What you’ll do
• Build and ship features across the stack — from the React UI down to Python (FastAPI)
services and the data layer — and own them from design through production.
• Figure out problems that aren’t fully defined yet: scope them, propose an approach, anddrive it to a decision.
• Shape architecture and technical direction for the product, and make pragmatic
build-vs-buy and trade-off calls.
• Write reliable, well-tested, maintainable code, and raise the engineering bar through
reviews and mentorship.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineers to turn goals into workingsoftware.
• Improve performance, reliability, and technical debt — you notice what needs fixing and you fix it.
What we’re looking for
A seasoned engineer who figures it out. Concretely, that means:
• 5+ years building and shipping production software as a full-stack or back-end-leaning
engineer.
• Strong proficiency with React on the front end (we use React 18, Vite, Next.js, and
Tailwind CSS).
• Strong proficiency with Python on the back end — building APIs and services (we use FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, and Pydantic) against PostgreSQL.
• Comfort with cloud infrastructure — we run on Google Cloud Platform (App Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage).
• A bias toward action and ownership: you can take a vague problem, make sensible
assumptions, and move without waiting to be told exactly what to do. • Sound judgment about trade-offs — you know when to build for the long term and when to
ship something simple.
• Clear communication: you can explain technical decisions clearly to engineers and
non-engineers alike.
• Genuine comfort with ambiguity and a track record of self-directed work in fast-moving environments.
Nice to have
• Experience building LLM / AI features — we use LangChain and the OpenAI API to power intelligent matching.
• Experience with a microservices architecture and background/async processing (Redis, workers).
• Experience building browser extensions (we ship Chrome and LinkedIn extensions) or Google Apps Script integrations.
Our stack
Here’s what you’ll actually be working with:
• Front end: React 18, Vite and Next.js, Tailwind CSS.
• Back end: Python 3.11 with FastAPI, SQLAlchemy 2.0, and Pydantic, running as
microservices against PostgreSQL, with Redis for caching and async work.
• Infrastructure: Google Cloud Platform — App Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud Build, Cloud
Storage, and Secret Manager.
• AI / data: LangChain and the OpenAI API power our matching service; pandas and numpy for data processing.
• Also in the mix: Chrome and LinkedIn browser extensions, plus Google Apps Script libraries.
We value engineers who can go deep in one area while staying effective across the whole stack.
What we offer
• High autonomy and real ownership — your decisions matter and your impact is visible.
• A small, senior team where you’re trusted to do your best work, working closely with the CEO.
