We are seeking an experienced Workato Integration Specialist to implement and deploy Workato-based integration solutions for our clients. The ideal candidate will manage the full lifecycle of integration projects, from requirements gathering and technical design to deployment, testing, and post-implementation support. This role requires strong technical expertise, hands-on experience with Workato, and the ability to mentor junior team members while ensuring best practices and standards are followed.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end Workato integration design, configuration, and testing for projects.
Set up Workato environments with essential configurations to support integration solutions.
Translate business requirements into technical designs and develop integration flows using Workato.
Conduct field mapping sessions with project teams [SV1] and application owners to ensure accurate data integration.
Ensure adherence to integration standards and best practices throughout project delivery.
Prepare comprehensive technical design specification documents.
Act as a bridge between application teams and stakeholders to facilitate smooth integration delivery.
Conduct end-to-end testing to validate integrated solution components and prototypes.
Drive test planning, execution, and provide optimization support for integration solutions.
Supervise, mentor, and develop junior consultants and business analysts on Workato and implementation methodologies.
Provide ongoing post-implementation support to optimize user adoption and system performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Estimate project-level efforts, including complexity, time, and resource requirements.
proficiency in communicating with Product/Project Managers, documenting requirements, executing changes, working with various system SMEs to overcome blockers etc. Basically people/negotiation/expectation management skills
Participate in practice-building initiatives such as recruiting, staffing, and training.[SV2]
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technology field.
6–7 years of experience in Application-to-Application (A2A) and Business-to-Business (B2B) integrations.
Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with Workato integrations.
Relevant Workato certifications (Automation Pro 1, 2, and 3) required.
Proficiency in SQL, JSON, XML and one of the programming languages[SV3]
Proven experience implementing complex, scalable, and high-volume integrations.
Experience with real-time, batch, and ETL integrations.
Experience integrating cloud and on-premises applications.
Proficiency in API management and web services technologies (REST, SOAP, WSDL).
Understanding of authorization and authentication protocols (WS-Security, OAuth).
Knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture
